Several weeks ago, my publisher sent me down to the Gulf Coast to do an interview and film me in the setting for my May 2011 book, THE BEACH TREES.

I’m happy to report that the Gulf Coast is open and ready for business–and the white sand on the beaches is as beautiful as I remembered from my childhood.

As for my experience of being filmed, let’s just say that I don’t see myself switching careers anytime soon to become a broadcast journalist, but I do think the visuals of the area are a great way to introduce my readers to THE BEACH TREES set in pre-Camille and post-Katrina Biloxi, Mississippi and New Orleans.

Enjoy!
